Ductility and mechanical properties of cast lightl worked high-speed steels

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    We determined the optimum temperature conditions for forging and rolling of cast steels.

     
  2. 2.

    Of the steels investigated, the ductility and the bending strength as-cast are highest for steels R12, R4M5K8, and R6M5K5.

     
  3. 3.

    The mechanical strength of these steels increases greatly after 40–50% deformation.
