Conclusions
-
1.
Heat treatment influences the crystal lattice and the saturation of the solid solution of the γ-phase of austenitic manganese cast iron.
-
2.
Regardless of the friction and wear conditions (friction without lubrication or with lubrication containing abrasive) the lattice constant of the heat treated cast iron decreases with increasing pressure and the lattice constant changes in the same way.
-
3.
The more saturated the solid solution before the wear resistance tests, the greater the change in the lattice constant.
