Conclusions

  1. 1.

In cast alloys TsZh12 and KhN70VMYuT we observed a carbide phase M2C with the hexagonal lattice of Mo2C. The main elements in this phase are chromium and molydenum. It also contains tungsten, nickel, iron, and titanium.

  2. 2.

The lattice parameters of the M2C carbide depend on the Cr/Mo ratio. The ratio of c/a, however, remains almost the same for different chemical compositions.

  3. 3.

Heat treatment of the alloys leads to decomposition of the M2C carbide and the formation of M6C and M23C6 carbides in its place.
