Conclusions
-
1.
The carbide eutectic in Fe-ZrC and Fe-HfC alloys consists primarily of lamellar colonies.
-
2.
The primary crystals of zirconium and hafnium carbides in alloys with iron may be cubic or dendritic in form.
-
3.
Quasibinary phase diagrams of iron with zirconium and hafnium carbides are of eutectic type.
