Induced Raman scattering in the resonator of a primary laser

  • Published:
Journal of Applied Spectroscopy Aims and scope

Abstract

Raman scattering is examined for substances in the resonator of a primary laser under steady-state conditions in relation to the parameters of the resonator, laser, and substance. Allowance is made for the effects of the Raman scattering on the operation of the primary laser. Relations are obtained for the threshold and optimum (for induced Raman scattering) values of various parameters.
