1.
We determined the effective bulk diffusion coefficients of tungsten in austenite and the matrixes of steels R9 and R9K10. We plotted the temperature dependence of the tungsten diffusion coefficients for steels R9 and R9K10.

2.
Extrapolation of the tungsten diffusion coefficients obtained to the range of super cooled austenite (550–700°C) indicates that the diffusion mobility of tungsten in high-speed steel with cobalt is higher than in the steel without cobalt, which conforms with the data concerning the influence of cobalt on the accelerated decomposition of super cooled and residual austenite.
