Spectroscopic studies of high-voltage flash discharges

Abstract

Hydrodynamic effects are considered for high-power sparks in supersonic electrode flames in relation to the spectroscopic parameters. These effects explain the high intensities of the lines and continuum as well as the line broadening in zones remote from the discharge channel.
