Conclusions
-
1.
Deformation of steel at subcritical and supercritical temperatures causes a change in the shape of cementite crystals. With increasing deformation the change in shape is intensified.
-
2.
With deformation at supercritical temperatures the change in shape is due to the solution of existing cementite crystals and the formation of new crystals. During subsequent eutectoid decomposition a structure with granular cementite is formed. Deformation of samples with a structure of granular cementite at elevated temperatures intensifies the coalescence process.
