Conclusions
We found a substantial increase in the endurance of hard-faced alloys subjected to a magnetic-ultrasonic field during fusion. The favorable changes in the structure when the alloys are fused in a magnetic-ultrasonic field are responsible for the increased endurance.
The changes in the structure, and consequently in the properties (increasing resistance), are induced by the specific crystallization conditions during application of ultrasonic vibrations and the simultaneous influence of the magnetic field.
