Abstract
Geometrical elements of the system AR lacertae have been obtained and its colour has been discussed. The absolute dimensions have been obtained on the basis of the spectroscopic elements given by Sanford (1951). The primary component lies fairly close to the Main Sequence on the logm-log R plot and the secondary falls away from the Main Sequence. The values of the Roche constants indicate that AR Lacertae is a detached system.
