Conclusions
In melting alloy 49KF2 for tape with a low coercive force and small total losses on magnetic reversal one should use iron free of impurities of nickel, copper, oxygen, and sulfur — electrolytic, carbonyl, or DR iron refined in purified hydrogen. Armco iron is unsuitable for manufacturing this alloy.
