Conclusions
-
1.
Proper conditions for preparation and plating of polished titanium and Ti-alloys with metals have been worked out. The deposits do not flake during grinding, polishing, filling or heating and they withstand soldering with soft solders.
-
2.
The heat resistance of the coating permits soldering at temperatures up to 500°C. This circumstance solves the problem of stepwise soldering within the temperature range indicated.
-
3.
Depending on service conditions of the parts, the underlayer (copper or nickel) can be plated with nickel, chromium rhodium, gold, silver, etc.
