Abstract

This paper deals with the dynamical description of partially ionized gas composed of electrons, ions, and neutral atoms.

To reduce the number of equations determining the motion of every component, it is possible to obtain the generalized Ohm's law by the combination of Euler equations. In this paper we have derived the general form of the generalized Ohm's law containing both the non-linear terms and the process of ionization and combination.

It has been shown that the partial pressure in the respective components of the gas must be analysed carefully in such a case.
