On a type of solutions for dynamical rupture of the equilibrium of stars

Abstract

Solutions for dynamical behaviour of unstable stellar models are obtained, in the special case where the velocity of a gaseous element varies asr/t. It is found that the only possible value for the constant of proportionality is 2/3 and that there are only two such stellar configurations.
