The measurement of the absorption properties of dry micro-organisms and its relationship to astronomy

Abstract

The infrared and ultraviolet absorption measurements of bacteria reported in a recent paper by Yabushita and Wada (1985) are shown to be corrupted due to the effect of stray water in the bacterial samples.
