Epsilon Aurigae in eclipse: The light and colour variations

Abstract

Theuvby andVRI observations of ε Aur during the ingress and early totality phases obtained at the McDonald Observatory are analysed. The light and colour variations of ε Aur during the 1982–1984 eclipse are compared with those found during the 1955–1957 eclipse.
