Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

Heat treatment of magnets in brass heat removes results in better and more consistent magnetic properties as compared with the existing treatment in liquid aluminum, and also a high-quality surface.

  2. 2.

No difference was found in the structures of magnets treated by the old and new methods.

  3. 3.

To obtain better magnetic properties it is expedient to manufacture magnets of the four-pole rotary type from alloy 2.
