Abstract

The equation of transfer for interlocked multiplets has been solved by the method of discrete ordinates, originally due to Chandrasekhar, considering nonlinear form of the Planck function to be

$$B_{\text{v}} (T) = b_0 + b_1 \,e^{ - \beta \tau } $$
