Abstract

A possible semi-annual variation of the Newtonian constant of gravitationG is established. For the aphelion and perihelion points of the Earth's orbit we find, respectively,

$$G_a = G_0 \left[ {1 + \frac{{e(A_0 k')^2 }}{{(1 - e^2 )\Delta \varphi _0 }}} \right] = 6.672500{\text{ }}x 10^{ - 11} m^3 kg^{ - 1} s^{ - 2}$$

and

$$G_p = G_0 \left[ {1 + \frac{{e(A_0 k')^2 }}{{(1 - e^2 )\Delta \varphi _0 }}} \right] = 6.671458{\text{ }}x 10^{ - 11} m^3 kg^{ - 1} s^{ - 2}$$
