Artifacts accompanying digestion of chromatin with micrococcal nuclease

Abstract

DNA in the micrococcal nuclease limit digest of chromatin is completely resistant to DNAse II. At least part of this resistance is not a property of the untreated chromatin, but is acquired in the course of digestion.
