Thermodynamic theory of temperature inversion in the earth atmosphere

Abstract

In two preceding papers (Ferrini, 1978a, b) we have described the thermodynamics of gravitating fermions. In this paper we present an application of the theory to the inversion of temperature in planetary atmospheres, with a particular regard to Earth atmosphere.
