Conclusions
Naphthoylenebenzimidazole derivatives have been found which are able to dye polyethylene terephthalate fibres in bulk.
It has been shown that the dyes reduce the thermal degradation which takes place in melt-spinning polyethylene terephthalate fibres.
The sorption properties of the fibres obtained have been evaluated.
