Conclusions
Fibres have been prepared from solutions of a PI based on a benzene adduct and diaminodiphenyl oxide which was synthesized by a one-stage high-temperature polycondensation in the presence of pyridine, in m-cresol solution.
Strength-elasticity and thermomechanical properties of the polyimide fibres obtained have been investigated.
It has been shown that heat-stretching of the fibres obtained leads not only to strengthening them, but also to the formation of a mesomorphic polymer structure.
