Conclusions
Experimental data obtained by a contactless method on the cooling of filaments in a bundle of large density in towers with sidestream blowing indicate a difficultly eliminated nonuniformity in the cooling of the elementary filaments present in the central part and on the periphery of the bundle.
An increase in air delivery somewhat reduces nonuniformity in the cooling of a bundle of filaments in the region of the sweeping devices themselves, without leading to a significant decrease in cooling nonuniformity past their limits.
The study performed shows that calculation of the temperature profiles of elementary filaments in a bundle differs from calculating the temperature profiles of monofilaments.
