Phytoecdysteroids of Rhaponticum carthamoides III. Rhapisterone C

Abstract

A new ecdysteroid, rhapisterone C, has been isolated from seeds of the plantRhaponticum carthamoides (Willd) Iljin (family Compositae). It has been shown that rhapisterone C is 23ζ-ethylecdysterone.
