Abstract
The new phenolic glycoside paeonovicinoside (methyl salicylate 6′-α-L-arabino-pyranosyl-β-D-glucopyranoside), and also paeoniflorin, β-sitosterol, benzoic acid, and gallic acid and its methyl ester have been isolated from the roots ofPaeonia anomala.
