‘Chirped’ grating coupler: a holographic approach

Abstract

Based on a holographic approach an analysis of the ‘chirped’ grating coupler is performed. Relations for the location of a focal line of a coupled out cylindrical wave for general construction parameters are obtained. Results of the analysis have been verified experimentally.
