Abstract
The first-order chemical reaction-rate formalism has been used in conjunction with diffusion to describe phenomenologically the annealing of ion-implanted nickel-aluminium alloys. An activation energy of 1.83 eV was determined for the reaction which causes a decrease in the bulk concentration. Possible participants in the reaction have been discussed.
