Summary
A series of copper(II) dithiocarbamates of the type Cu(Rdtc)2, [Rdtc=piperidine- (Pipdtc), morpholine(Morphdtc), thiomorpholine- (Timdtc), piperazine- (Pzdtc) orN-methylpiperazine-dithiocarbamate (Me-Pzdtc)] has been investigated by magnetic moment measurements at different temperatures, e.p.r. techniques and thermal analysis (TG and DTG). The magnetic moment studies suggest that there is no significant interaction between copper ions, and the e.p.r. data provide parameters typical of sulphur coordination in planar CuS4 chromophores.
