Statistics of speckle in synthetic aperture radar imagery from targets in random motion

Abstract

We derive and discuss expressions for the autocorrelation functions of speckle patterns in synthetic aperture radar imagery both when the scattering surface is stationary and in random motion. The effects of the motion of a point target on the point spread function are also discussed.
