Additional information

Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Spektroskopii, Vol. 11, No. 6, pp. 1105–1110, December, 1969.

The author considers it his pleasant duty to express his thanks to I. I. Levkoev, under whose supervision the vast majority of the asymmetric dyes used in this investigation were synthesized, for making the samples available together with data on their absorption maxima and their “hypsochromic shifts“ in alcoholic solution. The author also thanks E. S. Kozlova for determining the basicity of all the dyes involved in this paper.
