Abstract

A new methylsteroid of the cycloartane series has been isolated from the epigeal part ofAstragalus orbiculatus Ledeb. (Leguminosae); it has the structure of a (23R,24S)-16β,23; 16α,24-diepoxycycloartane-3β,6α,25-tetraol.
