Abstract
A bisdesmosidic glycoside — cycloorbicoside G — has been isolated from the epigeal parts of the plantAstragalus orbiculatus Ledeb. (Leguminosae), and on the basis of chemical transformations and spectral characteristics its structure has been established as (23R,24S)-16β,23;16α,24-diepoxycycloartane-3β,7β,25-triol 25-O-β-D-glucopyranoside 3-O-β-D-xylopyranoside.
