Acrodermatitis chronica atrophicans with fibrous nodes and monoclonal gammopathy

Summary

A report is given on one further case of acrodermatitis chronica atrophicans and monoclonal gammopathy. In addition, characteristic fibrous nodes were found on both elbows of the 64 year old patient. TheγM-paraprotein had cryogel-globulin character and a high cold agglutinin activity. The possible importance of such cold agglutinin-cryomacroglobulinemias for the pathogenesis of the skin disease is discussed in detail.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird über einen weiteren Fall von Acrodermatitis chronica atrophicans und monoklonaler Gammopathie bei einem 64 jährigen Patienten berichtet, der außerdem charakteristische fibroide Knoten an beiden Ellenbogen aufwies. DasγM-Paraprotein hatte Kryogelglobulineigenschaften und eine hohe Kälteagglutininaktivität. Die mögliche Bedeutung dieser Kälteagglutinin-Kryomakroglobulinämien für die Pathogenese der Hauterkrankung wird ausführlich diskutiert.
