Flavonoid diglycosides ofPrunus spinosa

Conclusions

1. Two glycosides (1A and1B) have been isolated from blackthorn leaves gathered in the spring.

2. A chemical investigation of the glycosides has been carried out, and it has been established that:
  1. a)

    glycoside1A is kaempferol 3, 7-di-α-L-rhamnofuranoside;

     
  2. b)

    glycoside1B is kaempferol 3-α-L-arabofuranoside-7-α-L-rhamnofuranoside. This is a new compound which we have called ternoside.
