Cytophotometrische DNS-bestimmungen an zellen des dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans

DNA cytophotometry on cells of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans

Summary

Determination of DNA content was performed by Feulgen staining of tumour cell smears and DNA measurement with an integrating microdensitometer. In 3 cases of Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans there was a DNA distribution in the range of 2 c; only a few cells showed a DNA content in the range between 2 c and 4 c; no atypical DNA distribution curves were found. The rate of proliferation in these cases of Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans is small, there are no cytophotometric indices for malignancy.

Zusammenfassung

Bei 3 Fällen eines Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans wurden cytophotometrische Bestimmungen des Desoxyribonucleinsäuregehalts der Zellkerne nach Feulgen-Färbung durchgeführt. In allen Fällen fand sich eine Häufigkeitsgruppierung der Meßwerte im 2 c-Bereich; nur wenige Zellen wiesen Meßwerte im Bereich zwischen 2 c und 4 c auf; keine Gruppierung der Meßwerte außerhalb des 2 c-Bereichs, auch keine zusätzliche zweite Häufigkeitsgruppierung. Die Proliferationsrate der untersuchten Tumoren ist danch gering, cytophotometrische Indizien für ein malignes Tumorwachstum fehlen.
