How the limiting degree of strength of Capron threads depends on irregularities of the component fibres

Conclusions

1. We have studied how the diameter and birefringence of the oriented fibres composing standard Capron thread influence their strength.

2. We found that the thread contains fibres with very high tenacities, which are obtained by stretching the finest initial fibres.
