Conclusions
The temperature dependences of the tangent of the mechanical loss angle, tan δ, the dynamic shear modulus, G', and the velocity of shear waves, ct, of arimide PM fibre have been studied by the method of free twisting oscillations in the temperature range 20–900°K, at frequencies of 0.2–1 Hz.
Relaxation transitions are observed in the tan δ = f(T) dependence in the temperature regions of 115, 220, 400, and 644°K, with activation energies of 23, 59, 84, and 770 kJ/mole, respectively.
Values of the dynamic shear modulus of the investigated fibre have been obtained over a wide temperature range.
