Abstract

The structure of the N-methylanilide of 3-oxo-9,12,12-trimethyl-2-oxatetracyclo-[7,6,1,01,6010,13]hexadecane-5-carboxylic acid, obtained from the “adduct” of caryophyllene with maleic anhydride, has been investigated by x-ray structural analysis.
