A cross-thigh myocutaneous flap

Summary

A cross-leg myocutaneous flap was used to close a large defect overlying a fractured femur. The flap which included both the gracilis and sartorius muscles was divided after 3 weeks, and the fracture successfully plated. A 2 year follow up has been trouble free.
