Abstract
Microscopy studies of the structural changes of the vapour-quenched Al71Cu29 films induced by laser irradiation are presented along with the discussion of the phase change mechanism. This leads to a high interest in a fast phase-change phenomenon between the amorphous and metastable crystalline states.
