Summary
From the roots ofYucca filamentosa L. we have isolated a new sarsasapogenin glycoside, yuccoside E, which is 3-O-{[O-α-D-galactopyranosyl(1 → 2)]-[-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl(1 → 6)]-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 → 4)-β-D-glucopyranosyl}-(25S), 5 β-spirostan-3β-ol.
