The structure of mogoltavinin — A coumarin from the roots of Peucedanum mogoltavicum

Summary

On the basis of its NMR, IR, and mass spectra and the products of alkaline hydrolysis it has been established that the coumarin mogoltavinin is the ether of 7-hydroxycoumarin and 6-angeloyloxy-7-hydroxy-2,5,5,8a-tetramethyl-Δ2-octahydro-1-naphthylmethanol.
