Structure of the sesquiterpene lactone stizolicin

Conclusions

1. A new sesquiterpene lactone, “stizolicin,” has been isolated fromStizolophus coronopifolius (Lam.) Cass.

2. Structure II has been proposed as the most probable for stizolicin on the basis of chemical reactions and spectral characteristics.
