Abstract

Negative electronic feedback (EFB) influences the stability of an inhomogeneously pumped laser; it causes a broadening in its stable region of operation. Negative EFB has a weak effect on the modulation response of an inhomogeneously pumped laser operated CW, but in pulsed operation it causes a decrease in pulsation frequency.
