Summary
A new peripherally acting respiratory stimulant taloximine is shown in a limited double-blind controlled study to be an effective analeptic agent, though probably no more so than ethamivan, in chronic bronchitic patients in moderate cardio-respiratory failure as a result of acute infective exacerbations.
