Abstract
We consider the effect of organic additives in industrial water on the characteristic features of formation of the structure and properties of steel 12Kh1MF, used to manufacture steam pipes. We show that saturation of the steel with decomposition products of the organic additives reduces the resistance to temperature embrittlement.
