Abstract
The energy and the impurity solubility are calculated for a crystal containing impurities in octahedral, tetrahedral, and triangular interstitial sites. The energy advantage is derived for distribution of implanted atoms in various types of interstitial sites, along with the accompanying increase in the impurity solubility that accompanies this process.
