Model problems in the rheological theory of sintering

Abstract

The accuracy of existing theories on the densification of a porous viscous medium under the action of surface tension forces was analyzed. A rigorous solution of the corresponding problem for a cubic system of spherical pores was derived. Good agreement of the theory with experimental results was obtained.
