Abstract
We present the results of spectroscopic studies of secondary radiation of the solid solution ZnxCd1−xS (0.05<x<0.1) under selective laser excitation near the bottom of the exciton zone. Hole conversion in an exciton localized on a neutral acceptor is discussed with respect to the effect of a fluctuation potential. A phenomenological model that qualitatively explains the observed features is proposed.
